Nelgene Pegg, 83, Gallipolis, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. She was born February 20, 1928 in Lizemores, West Virginia, to the late Porter and Gladys Morton McKean. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Gallipolis and also the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband, William Pegg, whom she married September 3, 1950 in Lizemores; twin sons, Drs. William (Alena) Pegg, Clearwater, Florida and Robert (Debbie) Pegg, R.Ph., Gallipolis; three grandchildren, David, Adam and Brian Pegg, all of Clearwater and brother-in-law, John (Jonda) Pegg, Marion, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Mary Pegg.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Fellowship Baptist Church, 600 McCormick Road, Gallipolis, with Pastor Phil Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton. Friends and family may call at the church 5:00–8:00 PM Friday, May 6. A DAR Service will be conducted at 7:45 PM. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to handle the arrangements for Mrs. Pegg.
