Opal A. (Shifflett) Kincaid

Opal A. Kincaid, 88, Minerton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at her home. She was born February 18, 1920 in Minerton, daughter of the late George and Dora McKenzie Shifflett. She was a devoted mother of six children and numerous neighborhood children and attended the Morgan Center Weslyan Church near Vinton.
Opal is survived by a loving husband of seventy two years, Bernard Kincaid, and five children: Edward (Shirley) Kincaid, Knotts Island, Nprth Carolina; Paul (Brenda) Kincaid, Minerton, Ohio; Diane (Ervin) Smith, Rutland, Ohio; Sandra Barrett, Danville, Ohio and Mike (Judy) Kincaid, Minerton, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and one brother, George (Mary) Shifflett, Wellston, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Monica Kincaid, Minerton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Kincaid; son-in-law, Robert Barrett; and a sister, Sarah Mae Bush.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Friday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Pastors Richard Kincaid and Tim Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Curry Cemetery, Minerton. Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Friday, one hour prior to the Funeral.
