Pansy (Morris) Thompson, 93, Rio Grande, Ohio passed away Sunday June 30, 2013 in Abbyshire Place, Bidwell, Ohio. Born May 21, 1920 in Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James and Allie (Clark) Morris. She married Pastor Samuel L. Thompson August 22, 1944 in Pikeville, Kentucky and he preceded her in death November 21, 1984. Pansy was a volunteer for more than thirty years with RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program) at University of Rio Grande and Greer Museum in Rio Grande and a life member Eastern Star.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Anna Mae Smith, Kenova, West Virginia and a nephew, James E. Thompson, Universal City, Texas. Pansy will be sadly missed by Dee McCollough and her home health workers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Everett and Burt Morris and sister, Hazel Burns.

Friends may call 1:00-2:00 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Rollins Funeral Home, 1822 Chestnut St. Kenova, West Virginia where friends may call one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova, West Virginia.
