Patricia E. "Patty" Metheney

Patricia E. "Patty" Metheney, Vinton, passed away shortly before midnight, Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in Carroll. She was born in Conesville (Coshocton County), the daughter of the late Ralph and Catheryn Julia Bailey Bown. Patty was the devoted wife of Dick Metheney for twenty-nine years and he survives with daughter, Brandy Metheney of Vinton.
She is also survived by two brothers, Donnie Bown, Grove City and Bill Bown, Gainesboro, Tennessee and two sisters, Kathy (Larry) Stifler, Gainesboro and Joyce Helmick, also of Gainesboro, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robin Bown and three sisters, Linda Stifler, Nancy Bown and Jeanene Cantrell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 22, 2003 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton with Rev. Paul Ring officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Saturday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
