Patrick Alan Cochran

Patrick Alan Cochran, 64, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born August 12, 1958 in Gallipolis, son of Charleen (Williams) Cochran, Gallipolis and the late James Robert Cochran, Sr. Pat was previously employed by Holzer Medical Center, where he was a Security Guard and by the Gallia County Sheriff's Office, Gallipolis, as a Deputy Sheriff before his health caused him to retire. He loved being a law enforcement officer and made many friends throughout his employment – many who will miss him dearly.

Pat had many interests outside of his work which included arrowhead hunting, fishing and playing guitar. Many will not remember him without seeing his soft smile - holding his Mt. Dew in one hand a cigarette in the other. Pat adored his family and was almost always in the company of his loyal companion, Cain.

Pat married Joyce Davis Cochran, Gallipolis and she survives along with their daughters: Sarah Cochran, New Albany, Ohio and Megan Cochran, Gallipolis. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his sister and brother, Linda (Michael) Noe and Jim (Ferne) Cochran, both of Gallipolis; nephew, Michael Noe and niece, Rachel (David) Newberry; two great nieces, brother-in-law, Jerry (Lennie) Davis, Gallipolis; faithful companion, Cain and a host of extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2022 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, with Chaplain Fred Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Wednesday 6:00-8:00 PM.
