Paul Leroy Brown

Paul Leroy Brown, 92, Vinton, Ohio passed away at Four Winds Community, Jackson, Ohio Saturday, December 17, 2016.  He was a retired employee 1985 - 1990 of the Tropicana Corp. and had previously worked at Tucker Construction, 1982 – 1985 and the Engle Construction, 1962 – 1982.  He was a WW II United States Navy Veteran. He attended the Ewington Church of Christ in Christian Union and the Salem Church and was a member of the V.F.W. and the Wilkesville Joseph Freeman American Legion Post 476.

Born November 27, 1924 at Richwood, Ohio, he was the son of the late Rev. Roy Denver Brown and Sylvia Jones Brown. He was preceded by his wife Clovie Mollohan Brown on April 27, 2010.

Paul is survived by three children: Melvin (Joellen) Brown, Rhea (Forrest) Farley both of Vinton and Marvelea (Tom) Pennington of Wellston; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Oeda) Brown and Cleon (Ilene) Brown, both of Michigan.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by grandson, Keith Hicks; great-grandson Bryant Keith Hicks; two sisters, Laura Mae Steele and Arlene Choate and two brothers, Herbert and Wendell Brown.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio.  Friends and family may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the Funeral time at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Vinton American Legion Post 161.
