Ray Fitch

Ray Fitch, 72 of Africa Road, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center. Born March 16, 1946 at Madison, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Noah and Margaret (Lester) Fitch. Ray was a 1964 Graduate of Kyger Creek High School and served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a life member of the VFW Post 9926 and DAV Post 534. He worked for the Carpenters Local 650, Pomeroy, Ohio.

Ray is survived by two brothers, Clyde (Carole) Fitch and Jim (Gail) Fitch, both of Cheshire, Ohio and two sisters, Bess Culpepper, Gallipolis, Ohio and twin sister, Fay Hawley of Indiana.  Also surviving are special friends Priscilla and Michael "Beager" Clark, Bidwell, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Etta Jo (Halfhill) Furst.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Laurel Cliff Free Methodist Church, Pomeroy, Ohio. In accordance with Ray's wishes, Cremation services were under the direction of The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.
