Raymond Lewis Stapleton

Raymond Lewis Stapleton, 65, Vinton, Ohio passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at his home. He was born in Logan, West Virginia, August 14, 1950 to the late Damon Lewis and Evelyn Wright Stapleton. He married Jessie Jaree Maynard September 15, 1967, who survives.  Raymond was a retired coal miner and a member of Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church, Morengo, Ohio.

Raymond is also survived by a daughter, Jacquelin (Doug) Roberge, Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren:  Andrew (Julie) Davis, Wellston, Ohio; Jessica (Andrew) Mulhern, McArthur, Ohio and Deven (John) Kramer, Laurelville, Ohio; great-grandchildren:  Baylee Davis, Michael Davis, Hunter Mulhern, Weston Mulhern and Cameron Kramer; sisters, Sharon (Kelly) Spencer, Dayton, Ohio; Kathy Buck, Rio Grande, Ohio and Judy (Doug) Bird, Wellston, Ohio; mother-in-law, Lucy Maynard, Vinton, Ohio; sisters-in-law: Edith (Don) Doles, Vinton, Ohio and Jo (Tony) Adkins, Vinton, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jesse Maynard; sister-in-law, Barbara Stiffler and brother-in-law, David Stiffler.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Marcum Memorial Cemetery Shelter House with Elders Russell Hicks, Sean Hicks, Don Lawson, Greg Sowards, and Jerry Runyon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Marcum Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM and at the Marcum Memorial Cemetery Shelter House one hour prior to services Friday.
