Reatha (Watters) Gowin
August 25, 1949 — September 10, 2011
Reatha Watters Gowin, 62, Wilkesville, Ohio passed away in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio Saturday, September 10, 2001. She was a Nurses Aid in the Akron General Medical Center, a member of the Wilkesville Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 476, and had served on the Wilkesville Village Council.
She was born August 25, 1949 in Vinton County, Ohio daughter of the late Carl Elvas Watters and Mary Ellen Moler Watters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Gowin on December 4, 1996 and brothers Jimmy and Douglas Watters.
Reatha is survived by her brother, Merrill Watters, Wilkesville and three sisters: Barbara Vanover, Taylor, Michigan; Carol Ann Smith, Wilkesville; and Linda Lowe, McArthur, Ohio. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Jimmie, David, Cheri, Brian, Bradley, Debbie, Tommy, Teri and Denise.
In keeping with her request, following cremation, a Private Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, is honored to serve the Gowin Family.
