Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Bennett, 72, of Vinton, Ohio died Sunday, April 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born January 12, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, she is the daughter of Velma Calhoon Ramey, Gallipolis, Ohio and the late Robert Ramey.
Becky was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Rio Grande, Ohio and a 50 Year 4-H Advisor for the Gallia County Dairy Club. She ran the 4-H Food Booth for 25 years at the Gallia County Fair and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in 2014. She loved giving her time to help kids of all ages through 4-H, she volunteered in other avenues as well, including Volunteering at Rio Grande Elementary School.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Amy (Rick) Weaver, Vinton; grandchildren: Ashleigh (Austin) Day, Vinton; Jack (Shawna) Lemley and Josiah (Tallula) Weaver, both of Rutland, Ohio; Hayden Weaver, Vinton and great-grandson, Liam Lemley.
Also missing Becky are sisters: Laura (Darrell) Baker, Patriot, Ohio; Melinda Norman, Vinton and Peggy Ramey, Rio Grande; niece, Beth (James) Myers, Waterloo, Ohio; nephews, Matthew (Morgan) Roberts and Kody (Brianna) Roberts, both of Rio Grande and Josh (Jennifer) Ramey, Bidwell as well as several extended family members.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, infant Bobby Ramey and David Ramey.
Memorial services are to be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, Rio Grande, with Vinton Rankin and Jack Lemley co-officiates. A Receiving of Friends will be Saturday 3:00-5:00 PM at the church. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, has been trusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve the family.
