Richard D. Darst
October 12, 1935 — October 4, 2005
Richard D. Darst, 69, Cheshire, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1935 in Cheshire, Ohio, son of the late Douglas and Mary Gilmore Darst. A retired dozer operator, Richard was employed for many years by JayMar Coal Company, Cheshire.
He is survived bya son, Richard "Chris" Darst Jr., Meigs County, Ohio and daughter, Mari Ann Darst, also of Meigs County; sisters: Ellen (Brady) Gilbert, Cheshire, Ohio and Helen Gilbert, Gallipolis, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Ellis and one brother, Lonnie Darst.
Graveside services were conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire with Rev. John W. Elswick officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis, Ohio.
