Richard L. Maynard

Richard L. Maynard, 77, Vinton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Adena Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born in Naughatuck, West Virginia on September 21, 1946 to the late Cecil and Fannie Marcum Maynard. Richard was a retired bus driver for the Vinton County Local Schools, former logger and a cross-tie buyer, employed by Koppers Industries.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons: Wayne (Connie Hagen) Maynard, Vinton, Ohio, C. J. (Stella) Maynard, Langsville, Ohio and Michael (Angela McGlone) Maynard, Vinton, Ohio; daughter, Shelby Seitz, Columbus, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; brother, Cecil (Debbie) Maynard, Jr., Racine, Ohio; sisters: Shelba Wickline, Racine, Ohio, Catherine (Ron) Conkel, Minford, Julie Murphy, Racine, Ohio and Sandra Kay (Scott) Oberholzer, Albany, Ohio as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Maynard.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2024 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in Marcum Family Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call on the family at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM till the time of service.
