Richard H. Newland

Richard H. Newland, 46, Bidwell, Ohio left this world to rest in his eternal home Thursday, November 1, 2018 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia.  Born January 14, 1972 at Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of David Newland, Triadelphia, West Virginia and the late Gladys Moore. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran who never met a stranger; he was kind and helpful to everyone. He loved spending time with family and reminiscing about times past.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, David; his children: Lucas (Alyssa) Newland, Gallipolis, Ohio and Kaitlynn (Austin) Snodgrass, Vinton, Ohio; mother of his children: Bobbi Newland, Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren: Kora Lynn Snodgrass and Alice Rose Newland; sisters: Nancy (Hank) McLaughlin, Wheeling, West Virginia and Barb (Rusty) Friel, Marlinton, West Virginia; brother, Edward (Robin) Newland, Wheeling, West Virginia; step-sister, Barb (Art) Henry, Moundsville, West Virginia; fiancée, Brittany Kruskamp and her daughter, Allie, Bidwell, Ohio as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by loving step-mother, Dorothy Newland and step-brother, Buck Richmond.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the Safe Harbor Country Church, 31850 Red Hill Road, Langsville, Ohio with Pastor Allen Midcap officiating. In accordance to his wishes, cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.
