Richard M. Seagraves, 52, Oak Hill (Centerpoint Community), passed away at his residence on Friday, November 14, 2008. He was born June 6, 1956, in Oak Hill, son of Annabelle Terry Seagraves of Oak Hill, and the late Flemon Seagraves Jr.

Richard was a retired truck driver, promoter of Vinton Raceway, President of the French City Camping Club, and a former member of Our Gang CB Club, where he was known by his handle "Buckeye Moose".

He is survived by his wife, Rose Gore Seagraves; three children, Anna (Eddie) Willis, Richard Martin Seagraves Jr., and James Flemon Seagraves, all of Oak Hill; a step-grandson, Eddie Willis II, Racine; and three brothers and one sister, Bryan (Christine) Seagraves, Vinton; Tim (Angie) Seagraves, Rio Grande; Jeff (Sherry) Seagraves, Oak Hill and Rita (Ricky) Elkins of Pikeville, Kentucky.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday November 19, 2008 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Charles Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Centerpoint Cemetery, near Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2008.
