Robert "Bob" E. Armstrong

Robert E. "Bob" Armstrong, 78 of Crown City, Ohio passed away in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio Sunday, December 13, 2020. He retired from American Electric Power, formerly Columbus Southern Electric, following thirty plus years employment and was a member of Gospel Truth Mission of Crown City.

Bob was born December 13, 1942 in Gallipolis, Ohio son of the late Earl William Armstrong and Margaret E. Hardgrow Armstrong.  He married Patty Jo Howard July 2, 1978 in Crown City and she survives with two sons, Charlton Keith (Melissa) Armstrong and James Derek Armstrong, both of Gallipolis, Ohio.

Also surviving are five brothers and three sisters: Earl Armstrong, Belmont, Nebraska; Stanford (Juanita) Armstrong, Atlanta, Georgia; Gene (Elaine) Armstrong, Bidwell, Ohio; Gerald (Sue) Armstrong, Atlanta, Georgia; Samuel (Mary) Armstrong, Gallipolis, Ohio; Mary Lee, Lexington, Kentucky; Mariam Christina (Lawyer) Pendelton, Detroit, Michigan and Lana Ruth McCoy, Crown City, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Ellen Morgan, Clarissa Minor and David Armstrong.

Friends and family may call at the open visitation Monday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio 11:00–12:30 PM. Private Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family followed by burial at the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis, Ohio.
