Robert H. Eagle

Robert H. Eagle, 87, Bidwell, Ohio (formerly of the Vinton Community) passed away in Holzer Medical Center Monday, April 12, 2004. He was a bus driver for the Gallia County Schools who retired in 1981 following thirty years service and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Porter. Bob enjoyed all sports including Coon Field Trials.

He was born October 4, 1916 in Vinton, son of the late Clyde Ernest Eagle and Cora Matthews Eagle. He married Erma Parsons November 19, 1938 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky and she survives with two children: Larry (Phyllis) Eagle, Bethesda, Ohio and Janice (Roberts) Zarbaugh, Groveport, Ohio; four grandchildren: Linnette (Bryan) Grove, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvannia; Tiffany (Dustin) Chapin, Jacksonville, Florida; Kimberly Ann (Charlie) Graham, Gahanna, Ohio and Robert (Bobbi) Kinker, Gahanna, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren: Abigail Grove, Brendan Grove; D.J. Chapin, Carson Chapin, Nathan Chapin, Lauren Graham, Kellie Graham, Allena Kinker and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, James Matthew Kinker and one sister, Helen Halley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Rev. Pat King officiating. Interment will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 6:00-8:00 PM.
