Robert Leo Fulton, 75, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born March 14, 1929 at Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Carl Orth and Maude Scott Fulton. A lifelong farmer, Robert retired from Kaiser Aluminum, Ravenswood, West Virginia after thirty years of employment in the finishing department. He graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1947 and was a Marine Corp. Veteran. Robert was also a member of the American Legion Post #27 and attended The First Church of the Nazarene, Gallipolis.
He married Helena E. Durbin Gregory August 6, 1973 and she survives along with a son, Pastor Robert P. (Nina) Fulton, Gallipolis; two daughters: Rebecca (Ted) Martin, Millfield, Ohio and Linda (Kevin) Hoffman, Gallipolis; two step-daughters: Sandra (Larry) McCormick, Stafford, Virginia and Patricia Roush, Raleigh, North Carolina; one step-son: Robert (Becky) Gregory, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters: Mary Ellen (Kenneth) Johnson, Gallipolis and Virginia Spurlock, Marietta, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by brother, Hobart Fulton; two sisters, Sylvia Mooney and Betty Wetherholt; granddaughter, Christina Martin Call and son-in-law, Richard Lee Roush.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday March 5, 2005 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis with Rev. Eugene Harmon and Rev. Nolan Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Service Organizations. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, March 4, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 PM.
