Robert Darryl Laywell
April 7, 1937 — April 14, 2004
Robert Darryl Laywell, 67, Bidwell, Ohio passed away March 14, 2004 as a result of a farm accident. He was born in Gallia County, Ohio on April 7, 1937, the son of the late David Edward Laywell Sr. and Dorothy Clagg Laywell. He was a member of Carpenter Union Local 200 and worked in the Columbus, Ohio area for thirty-five years. He was an avid Harley enthusiast and lifetime Hog Member.
He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Anita Huss Laywell and two sons: Robert Darryl Laywell Jr., Bidwell and Jeffrey (Rachael) Laywell, Circleville, Ohio; four daughters: Susan (Rodney) Lyman, Marion, Ohio; Shellie Laywell, Frankfort, Kentucky; Shelia Laywell, Chillicothe, Ohio; Sandra Laywell, Camden, Ohio; two brothers: David (Maudine) Laywell Jr., Yellow Springs, Ohio and Dana (Lydia) Laywell, Bidwell, Ohio; two sisters: Vivian (James) Schultz, Wesley Chapel, Florida and Joanne Roush, Safety Harbor, Florida. Also surviving are twenty-one grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St, Vinton, Ohio with Rev. Ronnie Lemley officiating. Burial will be in the Laywell Family Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 7:00-9:00 PM.
