Roberta Adkins Stover, 65, Bidwell, Ohio, went to be with Jesus Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Abbyshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bidwell. She was born May 8, 1945 at Big Creek, West Virginia to the late Levi Ezra and Dovie Sizemore Adkins. She married Harland J. Stover September 13, 1971, in Rutland, Ohio and he preceded her in death November 8, 1998. She attended several Pentecostal churches where she and members of her family sang.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary (Cecil) Queen, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and Bertha "Birdie" Queen, Southside, West Virginia and two sisters-in-law, Bernadine Hill and Nina Mahan, both of Gallipolis as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Adkins, Willard Adkins, and Harlin Adkins.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, May 6, 2011 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Elder Roger McCallister officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday one hour prior to the service. The McCoy-Moore Funeral home is honored to have handled the arrangements for Mrs. Stover.
