Roger Dean Smith Stroud

Roger Dean Smith Stroud, 59, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home. Roger was born March 6, 1965, in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Willard Dean Smith and Barbara Jean Stroud. He was formerly employed by OVEC Kyger Creek Plant, Cheshire, Ohio. A past member of the Gallipolis HOG Club, he loved riding his Harley as well as fishing and being outdoors. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, David (Marica) Stroud, Bidwell and Stanley Smith, Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Vickie O'Day and Joyce Smith, both of Columbus, Ohio; nieces Brandy Hutchinson, Danielle Gordon, Tanisha O'Day and nephews, Tyron Stroud and Jeremy Stroud as well as many cousins, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a nephew, Nyl RaShaun O'Day.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, Ohio, with Rev. Marlin Griffin and Rev. Christian Scott co-officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery, Buck Ridge, Bidwell, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the church Saturday 11:00 AM to the Noon service time.
