Roger Dell Thomas

Roger D. Thomas, 83, of Patriot, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio, following a lengthy illness. Roger was born August 16, 1943, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, son of the late Clarence and Crystal (Stevens) Thomas. A proud Sergeant in the United States Marine Veteran, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of Internation Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 in Charleston, West Virginia.

Roger married his love, Beulah Lambert Thomas, December 15, 1962, in Gallipolis, Ohio and to this union were born two sons: Mark (Kim) Thomas of Gallipolis and Richard Thomas of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Megan (Cody) Floyd, Andrea Thomas, Hannah Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Reece Thomas, Grace (Caden) McFann and Tye Thomas as well as great-granddaughter, Tessa McFann.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by granddaughter, Alyssa Thomas and brother, Eugene Thomas.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2026, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio, with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Patriot, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 11:00 AM to the Noon service time.
