Roger Lee Ward

Roger Lee Ward, 78, Vinton, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, in the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 24, 1945 in Pikeville, Kentucky, son of the late Raymond and Pearlie (Church) Ward.

Roger is survived by his children: Crystal (Robert) Jewell, Obetz, Ohio; Melody Ward, Vinton, Ohio; Terry Orechoneg, Youngstown, Ohio; Theresa (Shawn Pollard) Spires, Gallipolis, Ohio and Roger D. (Ashley) Ward, Chillicothe, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Anthony and Aaron Jewell; Jacob, Sabrina and Jason Spires; Shaylee and Roman Ward; brothers: Don Ward, Bloomington, Indiana and Roscoe (Joyce) Ward, Vinton; sister, Avalene (Jessie) Carroll, Bidwell, Ohio and former daughter-in-law, Ginger Holley.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by brothers Willie and Gratho Ward and sister, Christine Reynolds.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:15 PM Friday, February 23, 2024 in Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating. Family and friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Friday at 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
