Roger Ewing Wells

Roger Ewing Wells, 72, Wilkesville, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was born July 4, 1951 in Athens, Ohio, son of the late Ronald Ewing and Ruth Ann (Williams) Wells. He enjoyed playing softball, playing pool and being the owner/operator of his trucking company. Roger married Mary Lou McKinney Wells August 5, 1978 in Rodney, Ohio, and she survives.

Also surviving are their children: Jodie (Robert) Spires, Tim Wells, Tara Shepherd, Lucas Wells, Carrie Wells and Brian Carr; several grandchildren; special grandchildren, Gavin Stafford and Kameryn Wells; brother, Robert (Dee) Wells; sisters, Becky Doles and Rita Doles; bonus son, Jason (Wendy) Wells and special cousin, Eugene Wells.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Richard Wells; grandson, Jesse Carr and cousin, Danny Wells.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in Marcum Cemetery near Wilkesville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 11:00 AM to the 1:00 PM service time.
