Ronald L. Marcum, 77, Vinton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday, May 29, 2016. He was born in West Virginia November 21, 1938 to the late Hollie and Lola Chapman Marcum.
He is survived by his children: Sherry (Tim) Bosse, Kettering, Ohio; Keith (Drema) Marcum, Vinton, Ohio and Barry (Carla) Marcum, Jackson, Ohio; brothers: Hollie (Marg) Marcum and David (Evonna) Marcum, both of Vinton, Ohio; sisters: Mary Block, Bidwell, Ohio and Sarah (Don) Isreal, Vinton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Darrel (Lil) Perry, Columbia, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Sue (Roger) Crum, Indianapolis, Indiana; mother-in-law, Opal Perry, Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren: Gabriel (Cynthia) Marcum, Brandie Jo (Dustin) Zirkle, Blake (Erikka) Marcum, Andrea (Jeff) Heft, Frank Malone, Christina (Justin) Schubach and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded by his wife of fifty years, Shirley Perry Marcum; granddaughter, Kristen Marcum Swingle; brothers, Ishmael, Harold, Sherman, Billie Joe and Darrell; sisters, Jean and Donna and his father-in-law, Gaylord Perry.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at His Way Community Church, Vinton, Ohio with Reverend Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM.
