Rose Lawson

Rose Lawson, 97, of Bidwell, Ohio and formerly of Vinton, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell, Ohio. She was born May 28, 1929, in Clifford, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ray and Ardith (Chapman) Salmons. Rose was a Social Member of VFW Post 4464 of Gallipolis, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 27, Gallipolis and attended White Oak Baptist Church, Bidwell.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are children, Glenna Peoples, Beaver, Ohio, Brenda Justis, Little Hocking, Ohio, Charles Edward Lawson, Sr., Bidwell, Ohio, James “Ted” (Tami) Lawson, Gallipolis, Ohio, Mike “Squeak” Lawson, Wilkesville, Ohio, Floyd “Pat” Lawson, Vinton, Ohio, Barb (John) Kersey, Flatrock, West Virginia, Glenn (Carol) Lawson, Bidwell, Ohio, Ruth (Jim) Davis, Bidwell, Ohio, Shawn Lawson Sr., Gallipolis, Ohio, Carolyn (Mike) Mourning, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lewis Lawson, grandsons, Nathan Michael Hill and Charles Edward Lawson Jr., two great-grandsons, Dominick William Young and Devon Glenn Lawson, two brothers, one sister and special friend, Raymond Taylor.
