Roseann McClaskey, 74, of Vinton, Ohio passed away following a lengthy illness Friday, November 22, 2024. She was born March 31, 1950, in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Jack and Billy Jo (Helton) Meadows. Rosie retired from the Electro Craft Ohio plant following forty-nine years of employment.
She enjoyed riding her Harley motorcycle with her husband of 52 years, Gary McClaskey, and was a lifetime member of the Gallipolis Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Club as well as a member of the Vinton American Legion Auxiliary.
She and Gary married in 1973 at Princeton, West Virginia, and have two children: Tracy (Jeff) Steger, Gallipolis, Ohio and Christopher (Jessica) McClaskey, Vinton, Ohio. Also missing Rosie are grandchildren: Brooklynn (Gary) Waldron and Jamie Steger, both of Gallipolis and C.J. McClaskey and Elle Rose McClaskey, both of Vinton; great-grandchildren: Scotty, Graycie, Karlee, Kinsley and Raelynn; sister, Lori (Brent) Billings, niece, JoBeth (Eric) Bowcott, all of Gallipolis and nephew, Cody Billings, Columbus, Ohio in addition to many other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor David Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM service time.
