Rouie Anna (Cook) Logue

April 5, 1943 — December 28, 2024

Mansfield

Our beloved matriarch Rouie Anna (Cook) Logue, 81, of Lexington, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness Saturday morning, December 28th, 2024, at MedCentral Hospital Mansfield. Rouie was born April 5th,1943 in Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Willie and Irene (Johnson) Cook.

Rouie and her loving husband Denver L. Logue were married 55 years ago on September 21st, 1969. Denver and Rouie moved to Lexington, Ohio in 1976 where they raised a family.

Rouie was an outgoing person who never met a stranger. Melissa, her daughter, would joke about how Mom could go into a department store restroom and come out with a best friend, just through simple conversation with others. Rouie loved the Christmas season. She and Denver each year decorated their home inside and out with trees, figurines, wreaths, lights. Their home was filled with the love of the season, and for each other. Mom Logue loved her children with a passion, and you better not cross one of them, because that would mean you were crossing her as well.

Rouie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Irene (Johnson) Cook, her siblings  Carolyan Owens of West Virginia, Curtis Cook, Spencer Cook, and Emma Michalak.

She is survived by her devoted husband Denver L. Logue, her cherished children, daughter Melissa D. Lewis and husband Brunell, son Jeffrey Logue and wife Samantha, son Denver "Denny" Logue and wife Robin, stepdaughter Brenda Logue, and her loving siblings Mary "Sissy" Logue of Vinton, Ohio, Earl "Tom" Cook of Gallipolis, Ohio, and wife Ann, Raymond Cook and wife Nancy of Madison, Ohio, Everett Cook and wife Barbara of Texas, and many nieces, nephews, and grandbabies. Rouie will be deeply missed by family and the many who knew and loved her throughout her life.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, January 2, 2025, in the Mount Tabor Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio, following a visitation for family and friends at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Thursday, 12:00-1:00 PM.
