Roy Meade, Sr.

Roy Meade Sr., 63, Vinton, Ohio passed away unexpectantly Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home. He was born in Wayne County, West Virginia to the late Robert Fleming Meade and Sarah Dillon.

Roy is survived by a son, Roy Meade, Jr., Vinton, Ohio; three daughters: Jeanette "Nikki" Brown, Conway, South Carolina; LaDonna (David) Crittenden, Logan, Ohio and Patricia Meade, Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren: Zara and Oliver Meade; Kirsten and Lauren Brown and Dillon and Alissa Lewis; former wife and mother of his children, Teresa Taylor, Ashton, West Virginia; four brothers:  Bobby Williamson, Crum, West Virginia; Roger Meade; Flem (Donna) Meade and Sam (Gail) Meade, all of Vinton, Ohio; four sisters: Dolly Marcum, Vinton, Ohio; Nancy Watson, Bidwell, Ohio; Georgie Meade, Vinton, Ohio, and Mary (George) Pendleton, Vinton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Williamson, Vinton, Ohio and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Williamson, Bob Meade and Howard Meade; brothers-in-law, Randolph Marcum and Bill Watson and sister-in-law, Kay Williamson.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Vinton, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. In accordance with Roy's wishes, cremation will follow services.
