Ruth Ann (Athey) Gardner

Ruth Ann (Athey) Gardner, 57, Cheshire, Ohio passed into Heaven Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was born May 20, 1954 in Gallia County to the late Clair and Mae Rothgeb Athey. She was loved by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Donald Lee Gardner; step-son, Lee (Lisa) Gardner Jr., Cheshire; three grandchildren, Austin Stewart, Columbus, Ohio; Brittany Rochford and Brenna Mills, both of Gallipolis, Ohio; brother, Paul (Joan) Athey, Show Low, Arizona; three nephews, Charley Athey, Craig Athey, Georgia and Todd Athey, Gallipolis; two great nieces, Whitney and Erica Anderson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and sister-in-law, Kim Athey, New Haven. West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers, her twin, Roger and Charles; a niece, Patty Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Myrtle Gardner; two brothers-in-law, Jack and Earl Gardner and a sister-in-law, Jean (Gardner) Seymore.
A Memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the Mc-Coy Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel with Pastor James Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends after 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
