Sharon Rae Cheesebrew, 81, of Thurman, Ohio went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 9, 1943, in St. Albans, West Virginia, daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah (Dawson) Boggs. She was raised in Charleston, West Virginia, and spent her life as an entrepreneur beside her husband of 59 years, Larry Walter Cheesebrew, whom she married December 1, 1962, in Charleston, West Virginia.
Sharon was known for her family gatherings and meals. An excellent cook and baker, her family looked forward to her prime rib meals, complete with homemade baked goods for dessert. Her beautiful table settings were always a delight to those in attendance, and she prided herself on her ability to keep her home immaculate. With all those attributes, she was always the person who was looked to be in charge, and she took that role seriously as well as naturally.
She loved to travel with her sisters on adventures near and far. Sharon found wonder in all things and was always ready to go on the next trip. She was a member of Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson, Ohio.
She leaves behind her loving children: Brent (Anita Gene) Cheesebrew, Patriot, Ohio; Anita Marie (Russ) Moore, Gallipolis, Ohio and Amanda (Keith) Ehman, Thurman, Ohio; grandchildren: Tiata Marie Moore, Ashley Cheesebrew, Noah Moore, Evalena Ehman, Jonah Moore and Evander Ehman as well as her great-grandson, Apollo Walter.
Also missing Sharon are her sisters and brother, Karen (Weldon) Burrows, St. Albans, West Virginia; Kathy (David) Garrison, Columbus, Ohio and Frank (Evelyn) Boggs, Raleigh, North Carolina as well as a sister-in-law, Linda Boggs, Charleston, West Virginia and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by their son, Larry Walter Cheesebrew II and brother, Jospeh Allen Boggs.
In accordance with her wishes, Private Entombment in Cunningham Memorial Park in St. Albans, West Virginia, will be held at the convenience of her family, where she will be placed by her husband and son. She requested no visitation or funeral services and no flowers. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio is honored to serve the Cheesebrew Family.
