Sharon Lynn (Michael) Wellington

Sharon Lynn Wellington, 62, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her home. She was born November 18, 1955 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Hollie C. and Virginia (Ross) Michael, Sr.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Rodney "Clair" Wellington, whom she married July 26, 1985 in Vinton, Ohio, and who was the love of her life; daughter, Michelle (Donnie) Mayes, Bidwell, Ohio; son, Jason Martin, Gallipolis, Ohio; brothers: Hollie C. (Sharon) Michael, Jr., Lowell, Ohio; Harold (Carol Stimpert) Michael, Belpre, Ohio and Gary (Donna) Michael, Crown City, Ohio; sisters: Judith (Dan) Mahan, Cheshire, Ohio and Linda (Pete) Gonsalves, Georgia; brothers-in-law: John (Vickie) Wellington, Patriot, Ohio; Howard (Joann) Wellington, Bidwell, Ohio; Leo (Belinda) Wellington, Middleport, Ohio and Chris (Robin) Wellington, Bidwell, Ohio; sisters-in-law: Beatrice Hale, Nancy Wellington and Becky Skidmore, all of Vinton, Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Clara Mae Wellington; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hale and Stephen Skidmore and nephews, Michael D. Drummond and Jeremy Davis.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. A Gathering for Friends and Family will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday 11:00 AM to the time of services.
