Shawn Rodney Gregory

Shawn Rodney Gregory, 28, Vinton, Ohio passed away Saturday June 16, 2007 at his home due to an extended illness. He was born January 19, 1979 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Marcella Adkins Gregory of Vinton, and the late Rodney Gregory II. Shawn graduated from River Valley High School in 1997. He was formerly employed by the Valley Diagnostic Laboratory as a courier in Ohio and West Virginia.
In addition to his mother, Marcella, he is survived by a sister, Amanda Gregory, Vinton; nephew, Zack Russell, Vinton; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Mildred and Charles Adkins, Bidwell; step-grandmother, Helen Gregory, Columbus; step-grandfather, Winfield Staley, Columbus; former wife, Amy and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Adkins; paternal grandfather, Rodney Gregory and paternal grandmother, Millie Staley.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Morgan Center Gospel Holiness Church with Rev. Ted Russell and Rev. Dave Stulley officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Monday 6:00-9:00 PM.
