Shirley Ann Mays, 67, Vinton, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Shirley was born July 28, 1939 in Logan, West Virginia. She was a homemaker and member of Fellowship Chapel Church, Vinton.
Surviving are three daughters: Teresa Lea (Jack) Borden, Vinton; Carolyn Mays, Michigan and Shirley Loujean (Paul) Mays, Thurman, Ohio; son, William Glen Collins, Iowa; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Douglas (Marilyn) Staples, Mt. Vernon, New York and Nathanial Staples, Charlottesville, Virginia; sister: Deanna (Delbert) Evege, Ashland, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, Molly Mitchell Jamerison, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Mays and son, Harold Dale Mays.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Sherman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan-Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 6:00-8:00 PM.
