Sidney Marvin Bowles

Sidney Marvin Bowles, 86, Wilkesville, Ohio passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 following a brief illness. He was born August 11, 1931 at Williamson, West Virginia, son of the late Luther Augustus Bowles and Georgia Alice Puckett Bowles. Marvin married Catherine Fay Adams August 23, 1956 in Powhatan, Virginia, and she survives. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Wilkesville, Ohio.
In addition to his wife Catherine, he is survived by their children: Susan (Jerry) Cummons, Crown City, Ohio; Daniel (Missy) Bowles, Albany, Ohio and Elizabeth (Corbett Caudill) Hutton, Jackson, Ohio; grandchildren, Leah (Fiancé Corey Sommer) Cummons, Norfolk, Virginia and Stacie (Zack) Fielder, Gallipolis, Ohio; brother, Raymond (Carol) Bowles, Columbus, Ohio; cousin, Gene Puckett, Wilkesville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Luther C. Bowles and sister, Eula Mae Lewis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Pastor Patricia Hinson officiating. Private graveside will follow at Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, October 9 from 6:00–8:00 PM. Fellowship Time will follow the graveside service at the Wilkesville Community Center.
