Stella Marie Clark

Stella Marie Clark, 82, Bidwell passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at her residence. She was born November 2, 1925 in Bidwell, daughter of the late John and Vandella Mundell Clark. Marie was a graduate of Bidwell-Porter High School and had retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center in 1991. She was a board member of the Gallia-Meigs Community Action Program and a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church at Bidwell. She also attended the Morgan Bethel Church.
Marie is survived by four sons and two daughters: Oscar (Brenda) Clark, Columbus; Arthur (Paula) Clark, Bingham Farms, Michigan; Kenneth Clark, Bidwell; Scott (Sharon) Howell, Bidwell; Brenda (Abraham) King, Columbus and Betsy Clark, Bidwell; twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Clark, Vinton and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were daughter, Sharon Howell and son, James "Bear" Clark; one grandchild and one great-great grandchild and brother, James Clark.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell with the Rev. Gene Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery near Bidwell. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Sunday 4:00-7:00 PM.
