Tammy M. (Howell) Jones

Tammy M. Jones, 55, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. The daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Dotson) Howell, she was born May 7, 1959 at Bidwell, Ohio. Tammy was a member of the Triedstone Baptist Church, Gallipolis, Ohio and employed at Gallipolis Developmental Center (GDC) for more than twenty years.
She is survived five sons: Brian (Margaret) Howell; Phillip Howell; Andray Howell; Jaquille Cordell, all of Gallipolis and Johnny Prejean, California; two daughters: Nikki (Melvin) Valentine, Gallipolis and Charity Howell, Proctorville, Ohio; grandchildren: Taylor Howell, Brian E. Howell II, Karrington Howell, Rebecca Howell, Marquis Howell, Ryan Williams, Paris Williams, Ashanti Valentine, Melvin Valentine, Isaiah Howell, Coco Prejean, Ebony Howell, Ciara Howell, Andray Howell II, Anthony Penick, Christopher Lush, Tye Howell, Gavin Berkley, Danae Howell, Faith Howell and Angelo Matthews. Also surviving are brothers: Earl (Elizabeth) Howell, Missouri; Larry (Bridget) Howell and Tim Howell, both of Gallipolis and sisters: Darlene Gilmore and Kathern Mitchell, both of Gallipolis and special friends: Brenda Dotson, Freda Lawson, Connie Beach and Nancy, all of Gallipolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Marquis Howell.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the Paint Creek Baptist Church, 833 3rd Ave, Gallipolis with Rev. Melvin Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the church Thursday, 12:00 Noon until service time of 1:00 PM.
