Pastor Teddy C. Russell, age 70, passed over to his heavenly home October 14, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 10, 1956, to the late Olin and Reverend Loneva (Russell) Russell. Ted was the pastor of Morgan Center Christian Holiness Church for thirty-plus years. He loved his family and his church. Ted loved talking and teaching about the Lord to anyone who would listen. If you were anywhere close to Ted, you could always hear him humming and/or singing. He may even get his guitar out and play you a tune. Ted was an outdoor man and loved hunting, fishing and taking walks in the woods to look for mushrooms.

Ted is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Mildred (Cochran) Russell; children, Teddy A. Russell, Adam Russell, Misty (Jeremy Metheney) Burnem and Steven Russell; daughter-in-law, Amanda Gregory; grandchildren: Zack Russell, Jacob Russell, A.J. Russell, Hannah Metheney, Blaine Metheney and Dalyla Metheney; great-grandchildren: Wesley Russell, Audrey Russell, Jayston Metheney and James (Jeb) Perry; siblings, Woodrow (Velma) Russell, Larry (Marlena) Russell, Loren “Butch” (Lisa) Russell and Terry Russell, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ted was proceeded in death by sisters, Norie (Warren Rawlins) (Harvey) Burnett, Daisy (Everett) Kemper and Frances (Paul) Hersman.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Morgan Center Christian Holiness Church, Bidwell, Ohio, with Pastors Junior Preston and Theran Durham officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday, 11:00 AM till service time.

Pallbearers will be Teddy A. Russell, Adam Russell, Steven Russell, Zack Russell, Jacob Russell and Blaine Metheney.
