Teresa Lea Collins

Teresa Lea Collins, 63, of Vinton, Ohio passed away in her home Friday, March 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness. Teresa was born February 16, 1961 in Vinton, daughter of the late Shirley Mitchell Mays and Ernest Walker. She retired from Gallipolis Developmental Center following thirty plus years of service as a Head Cook in the Food Service Department. She attended Paint Creek Baptist Church, Gallipolis.

Teresa is survived by one son, Geffrey Wayne Collins, Chillicothe, Ohio and three siblings: William Collins, Vinton, Ohio; Carolyn (Mario) Mays-Leos, Melvin, Iowa and Shirley L. (Paul) Mays-Thacker, Thurman, Ohio as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold D. Mays.

Friends and Family may visit Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, from 4:00-6:00 PM to Celebrate Teresa's Life. Cremation services will follow.
