Thelma (Wright) Neal
August 9, 1910 — August 15, 2006
Thelma Neal, 96, Gallipolis, passed away Tuesday August 15, 2006 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Mrs. Neal was born August 9, 1910 in Hasty, North Carolina, daughter of the late John Elijah and Bessie Mae Miller Wright.
A volunteer at Holzer Hospital, Thelma was employed at Davis and Shuler Department Store, Gallipolis and later worked as a Clerk for the City of Gallipolis. She was preceded by her husband, Charles J. Neal, March 6, 1982 and four sisters and one brother.
She is survived by sister, Nina Gibson, Laurinburg, North Carolina; nieces, Barbara Gardner, also of Laurinburg; Betty Deal, Springfield, Virginia and Joann (Ricky) Pearson, Laurel Hill, North Carolina; nephew, Bobby (Shirley) Plymale, Bronson, Florida and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2006 at the Chapel of Grace United Methodist Church with Bob Powell officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis, Ohio.
