Thomas A. "Tom" Chapman Evans, 73, Gallipolis died Friday, February 13, 2004 at his residence. He was born December 10, 1930 at Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Leslie M. and Jewell Justine Northup. He was a retired pharmacy technician from Holzer Hospital and an U. S. Air Force Veteran. He married Ida Lou Stewart January 14, 1956 in Gallipolis, and she survives along with one daughter, Sherry (Steve) Glenn, Wake Forest, North Carolina; one son, Thomas A. "Mike" (Lisa) Evans, Murphy, North Carolina and six grandchildren: T.J., Ian, Austen, Alec, Lauren and Andrea. Also surviving are sister, Jane Ann (David) Laufer, Gallipolis and several nieces and a nephew.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Avenue, Gallipolis with Rev. Paul Voss officiating. Private interment services will be at the convenience of the family.
