Thurman Elsworth Oiler

Thurman Elsworth Oiler, 76, Vinton, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1940 to the late Isaac and Pluma Amos Oiler. He married Juanita Bowen at Wise, Virginia June 30, 1970 and she preceded him in death August 27, 2008.
Thurman is survived by his children: Betty Oiler, Teresa Oiler and Rebecca Oiler, all of Vinton; Stephanie (Jody) Viars, Gallipolis, Ohio and Jaime (Leonard) Woodard, Genoa, West Virginia; grandchildren: Danielle Queen, Billy (Misti) Dillon, Jessica Dillon, Christian Viars, Christopher Viars, Carrollyn Woodard, Wil Dillon, Andy Woodard and Ana Dillon; great-grandchildren: Logan Vinson, Alyssa McClain and Jordan Dillon; brother, Billy Oiler, Vinton and sisters, Barbara Ramey, Vinton and Diana (Billy) McKinney, West Virginia.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Boston.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, October 11, 2017 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Pastor Steven Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellis Family Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Wednesday 5:00-7:00 PM.
