Tom Junior Holstein

Tom Junior Holstein, 84, of Thurman, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. A United States Army Veteran, Tom owned and operated his own construction company. He was born May 2, 1942, in Packsville, West Virginia, son of the late Paul David and Vivian Marie (Buzzard) Holstein. He married Lula M. “Tiny” Holstein September 21, 1963, at Stickney, West Virginia, and she precedes him in death January 23, 2024.

To this union were born sons, Todd (Rhonda) Holstein and John Holstein, both of Thurman; grandchildren, Colt Holstein, Thurman and Brittany (Chase) Davis, Gallipolis, Ohio and great grandchildren, Tucker and Hudson Davis.

In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded by brother, Sam E. Holstein and sisters, Hettie Hapney, Joyce Hapney and Nellie Holstein.

Tom enjoyed being outside, where he enjoyed working – his love for his family was above all.

Funeral services will be conducted beginning 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Bob Hood officiating. Full Military Rites are to be performed by Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail. Entombment will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 5:00-7:00 PM.
