Veronica Sue Holcomb

Veronica Sue Holcomb, 71 of Bidwell, Ohio formerly of Vinton passed away Tuesday July 21, 2026, in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. She was born March 25, 1955, in Williamson, W.Va., daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Fields Jr. and Gaynell (Smith) Fields. Veronica was a member of the Appalachian Riding Club where she enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with her friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend whose memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Veronica is survived by two sons, Shannon (Jodi) Holcomb, Winfield, W.Va. and Justin (Kristi Houck) Holcomb, Vinton, six grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Natai-Matuskah, Dinehstu-Nabahi Holcomb, Kody (Kylie Moore) Houck and Kyan Houck.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fitzh Fields and sister, Sherry Bancroft.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday July 24, 2026, in the Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Sisson officiating. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel is honored to serve the Holcomb Family.
