Viola E. (Kennedy) Butts
February 23, 1924 — June 29, 2005
Viola E. (Kennedy) Butts, 81, Vinton went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at her residence. Born February 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mason and Ruth Dyke Kennedy. She was a member of the Vinton Baptist Church, but due to her illness was unable to attend.
She is survived by three daughters: Sandy Stone, Vinton, Ohio; Nancy (Jerry) Williamson, Lancaster, Ohio and Sylvia (Fred) Yakasoff, Grove City, Ohio; son, John (Patty) Butts, South Carolina; ten grandchildren: Paula, Paul Michael, Eric, Tony, David, Lisa, Bob, Rick, Beth, and Eddie; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eva Kennedy, South Point, Ohio and one niece and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvan Butts in 1972; two daughters, Judy and Margaret; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2005 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, 208 Main St, Vinton with Rev. Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to service.
