Virginia (Fulton) Sherlock
October 11, 1919 — February 15, 2009
Virginia, beloved aunt and grandmother, avid gardener, good neighbor and friend to many, will be missed. She was a long time member of the Marietta First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Johnson, Gallipolis, Ohio; granddaughters, Staci (Doug) Farmer, Topeka, Kansas and Samantha Sherlock, Florida; great-grandsons, Oliver Steven Farmer and Eliott Douglas Farmer; and twelve nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sherlock; her son, Steven L. Sherlock; brothers and sisters: Betty Jane Wetherholt, Hobart Fulton, Sylvia Mooney and Robert Fulton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, Ohio with Pastor Eugene Harmon officiating. Entombment will follow at the East Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call at the East Lawn Memorial Chapel, one hour prior to services. Following the funeral services, a celebration of life for Virginia will be held at the Lafayette Hotel, Rufus Putnam Room, from 3:00-4:30 PM.
