Virginia Velva (Taylor) Drummond

Virginia V. Drummond, 94, Vinton, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home Monday, December 21, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born May 23, 1926 in Gallia County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Jackson and Myrtle Maude (White) Taylor. She attended the Garden of My Heart Church, Bidwell, Ohio and was a loving wife and mother. Virginia married John Thomas Drummond September 3, 1949 and he preceded her in death June 25, 2001.

To this union were born their children: Sandra Drummond, Bidwell, Ohio; Diana (J.D.) Church and Brenda (Mike) Hyde, both of Vinton, Ohio; Sharon (Steve) Williams, Marion, Ohio; Robin Merrill, Vinton, Ohio and John Drummond, Jr., Gallipolis, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Graham, Gallipolis, Ohio and daughter-in-law, Diana Drummond, Bidwell, Ohio.

In addition to parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Gaile Drummond; daughter, Pam Brooks; three grandchildren: Keith Allen Woodyard, Michael "Mikey" Steven Hyde, Jr. and Tammy Griffith as well as three brothers and two sisters.

Private Funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the Family in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with burial to follow in Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio.
