Walter Hughes, 72, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2003. He was born March 5, 1931 in Oak Hill, son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Talitha Fulkins Hughes.
He is survived by three sisters: Wanda Desania, Lancaster, Ohio; Sylvia Pearl Hughes, Gleason, Florida and Goldie M. Hughes Koonce Wilson, Jackson, Ohio and one nephew: Karl Dickinson, Xenia, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Ollia May Hughes Harshbarger and Hayden Hughes.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, March 14, 2003 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Rev. Chuck Stansberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery, Centenary, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home 11:00 AM until the time of service.
