Wanda P. Gilbert, 73, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Meigs County, Ohio October 31, 1943 to the late Roy Curtis and Belva Mae (Lowe) Nelson. She was a member of Rose of Sharon Holiness Church, Rutland, Ohio. She married Roger L. Gilbert who preceded her in death in 1999.
Wanda leaves her children: David Gilbert, Gallipolis, Ohio; Curtis (Marie) Gilbert, Rutland, Ohio; Roger (Debbie) Gilbert, Gallipolis, Ohio; Rhonda Jenks, Addison, Ohio and Gail (Richard) Donaldson, Greenville, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Darrel (Linda) Nelson, Cheshire, Ohio and sisters: Lavida June (John) Yost, Rutland, Ohio and Wilma Mae (Chuck) Gard, Middleport, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Scott Gilbert; grandson, Curtis Gilbert, Jr. and son-in-law, Bruce Jenks.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Dewey King and wife Pat King officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Ridge Cemetery, Cheshire, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Monday 6:00-8:00 PM.
