William B. "Bill" Shaw

William B. "Bill" Shaw, 77, Gallipolis, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He was born July 22, 1930 in Sturgis, Mississippi, son of the late Harmon and Willie Nation Shaw. A World War II Army Veteran, William was a devout Christian and member of Faith Baptist Church.
He married Coleen Bruner on October 15, 1955 and she survives him, along with two daughters, Cheryl Lynn (Brian) Boehme, Clayton, North Carolina and Janet Sue (Jeff) Reed, Gallipolis, Ohio; five grandchildren: Joy, Rebekah, and Hannah Boehme; Daniel and Deborah Reed; brother, John D. (Marie) Shaw, Sturgis, Mississippi; two sisters: Valeria Hickman, Sturgis, Mississippi and Pauline (Mack) Thurmond, Memphis, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ervin Shaw.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Faith Baptist Church, 3615 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, with Pastor Jeff Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Centenary Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends may call at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
