William E. "Billy" Mitchell, Jr.

William E. "Billy" Mitchell Jr., 64, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at the Four Winds Community of Jackson. He was born August 1, 1946, in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late William Edgar Mitchell Sr. and Mildred Dexter Mitchell.

Billy is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Henry Mitchell; son, Bill Mitchell, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; daughter, Tekisha Mitchell, of Bidwell, Ohio; brother, Samuel Mitchell, of Gallipolis, Ohio; sisters, Marjorie (Howard) Moore, of Georgia; Kathy Garnes, of Bidwell, Ohio; Ramona Mitchell, of Bidwell, Ohio; mother-in-law, Luella Henry, of Bidwell.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Dennis Mitchell.

He retired from American Electric Power following more than 20 years of service, was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, in Bidwell, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 25, 2010 in the Apostolic Faith Church in Bidwell,with Elder Herbert Smith and Elder Sherman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by the Vinton American Legion, Post 161.
